Compressor clutch does not engage. System is empty. Charged system with nitrogen to check for leaks. Found low pressure tube going to rear a/c leaking due to power steering pressure line rubbing through tube.
Replaced front section of auxiliary heat and a/c lines. Charged a/c with 300 psi of nitrogen and checked for leaks-ok. Pressure tested cooling system and checked for leaks-ok. Reassembled all removed components. Filled and bled cooling system.
Vacuumed and recharged a/c system. High side pressure at 250 psi, low side at 25 psi. Vent temps at 42 degrees. Test drove-ok.

Coolant bottle empty. Topped off fluid, pressure tested-found water pump leaking coolant. Recommend replace water pump, thermostat and water housing gasket, then recheck.
Valve cover gasket is leaking oil, timing cover also leaking oil. Noted excessive smoke in crankcase when oil cap was removed, indicating pcv ports and/or intake passages are plugged. Recommend replace valve cover gasket, timing cover gasket, and remove intake and clean pcv passages.
Spark plugs show wear and have burnt oil deposits, non OE Bosch plugs. Recommend replace with OE type. Oil is dirty, no lube sticker. Front and rear brakes at 20% remaining, recommend pads and rotors front and rear. Recommend cabin air filter based on age/mileage.
All 4 tires are at or near wear bars. Windshield has large crack in it. Wiper blades streaking.
Removed water pump cover to inspect balance shaft chain. Balance shaft chain shows wear, and tensioner is almost maxed. Unable to inspect main chain without removing valve cover or timing cover. Based on balance shaft chain wear, recommend replace timing chains, guides and tensioners.
Removed intake manifold and cleaned pcv and intake ports.
Replaced balance shaft chain, tensioner and guides. Installed new water pump. During repairs, noted exhaust camshaft phaser does not mechanically lock, need to replace phaser. Installed new timing chain set and exhaust phaser. Reassembled all removed components, changed engine oil and filter. Installed new thermostat and filled cooling system. Installed new spark plugs and coil boots, replaced 1 broken ignition coil. Engine starts and runs normally. Test drove-ok. Rechecked for leaks-ok.

Fault traced ticking noise to weak/collapsed lifter. Removed cylinder heads and sublet to machine shop for inspection and repair. Installed new lifters and guides. Replaced all necessary gaskets and head bolts. Torqued cylinder heads to specification. Replaced radiator due leak at passenger side tank. Replaced spark plugs, ignition wires, thermostat, exhaust mounting hardware and drive belts. Replaced drivers side valve cover due to updated pcv system. Changed engine oil and filter. Replenished engine coolant and bled air from system. Test drove vehicle.
Cleaned and inspected both cylinder heads. Performed 8 cylinder valve job and replaced all valve springs. Resurfaced both cylinder heads. Extracted one broken bolt.

Test drove vehicle and observed for signs of rotor/drum warpage. Inspected front and rear brake systems for abnormal wear and remaining life of brake pads/shoes. Inspect entire system for leaks. Approximate remaining life is: Front (50%) Rear (%) No signs of brake rotors being warped on test drive.
Replaced rear disc brake pad set and hardware. Replaced disc brake rotors. Cleaned and lubricated caliper slide pins. Bled and replenished brake hydraulic system. Adjusted parking brake where applicable. Test drove vehicle.
Flushed cooling system with 3 gallons of coolant. Inspected radiator. radiator cap, belts, hoses and thermostat operation. Road tested vehicle.
Removed front bumper skin and replaced headlamp bulbs.
Scanned all modules for codes and found C0550 ECU performance C0710 steering position signal fault All fuses test good, power and ground at steering wheel position sensor test good, monitored both A and B sensors and sensor B has no response when wheel is turned and erratic voltage when preforming a wiggle test. Steering wheel position sensor test bad. Replaced steering angle sensor and test drove vehicle.
Fuel leaking from molded fitting on fuel pump module. Removed and replaced fuel pump module. Road tested vehicle.
Removed and replaced thermostat and housing assembly. Replenished coolant and test drove vehicle.

Horn and fan relays are different, not swappable. Horn operates normally. Checked fan operation with scan tool-ok. Low speed fans come on at 222 degrees, off at 204. Test drove-coolant temps between 197 and 212 while driving. Scanned for codes-P0645-a/c clutch relay control circuit. A/c clutch relay missing from fuse box, installed one of relays from cupholder, code passes test. Recommend replace thermostat and radiator cap.
Replaced thermostat and housing assembly. Replaced radiator cap and replenished engine coolant. Test drove vehicle.

Charged system to specification and added oil and dye to system Test drove vehicle and received 44 degree air temp from center vent.

Both front hub bearings have excessive play. Recommend replacing both front hub bearing assemblies. Also noted front rotors are extremely rusty and causing the brake pads to wear unevenly.
