- P0012-intake camshaft position timing over retarded bank 1 Monitored data, found both bank intake cams have erratic timing, bank 1 is worse. No rattling noted, but idle is rough at times. Engine oil is clean and full. Cold started engine the next morning-no rattle from timing chains or phasers. Recommend replace all 4 vvt solenoids on both banks, bank 2 likely to fail soon.
- Replaced Intake and exhaust vvt solenoids on both banks Replaced valve cover gaskets and torqued fasteners to specification. Cleared diagnostic codes and test drove vehicle.
