    Services Performed
    • Inspected battery and terminals. Load tested battery for proper charge and load capability. Load tested alternator for proper amperage output. Verified computer charge command is available. (Battery failed recommend new) group 47extj
    • . After replacing the battery, speedometer operation is now operational. Test 2 failed speedometer reads 20 mph different from scanner recommend speedometer internal fault. Has intermittent cut out at 40-50 Removed and replaced speedo cluster. Speedometer works. No more fluctuating.
    • After inspection of HVAC system, found the cabin air filter is dual sided and that side that was affected was packed full of dirt. Recommend replacing cabin filter and retest. Test 2 failed heat stops working while drive checked coolant lines Inlet has 200degrees outlet 73degrees. Recommend flush and thermostat if can unclog heater core would have to replace.
    • Changed engine oil and filter. Checked and replenished all fluids. Checked and adjusted tire air pressure.oil level at tip of dip stick very low
    • Both engine and cabin air filters need replaced.
    • Replace Cabin Air Filter
    • Removed and replaced thermostat and cleaned surface.
    • Removed and inspected hoses for build up. Confirmed clog in system. Blew out heater core heater works great.
    • Removed and replaced cluster
    • Removed instrument cluster. Rebuilt and re-installed instrument cluster. Test drove vehicle-OK.
    • Rebuilt instrument cluster. No faults at this time.

    • Scanned ECM for codes and found P16A1 sensor communication circuit high voltage Inspected wiring harness at throttle body and it has been improperly repaired. Recommend replacing throttle body wiring harness connector, then testing throttle body, clearing codes and retesting if needed.
    • Water pump leaking and drive belt cracked. Recommend replacing water pump and drive belt.
    • Removed & replaced throttle body assembly. Programmed to vehicle. Test drove vehicle-OK.
    • Removed & replaced throttle body harness.
    • Removed & replaced water pump and serpentine belt. Replenished coolant.

    • Power steering rack has a leak, also driver side axle seal is leaking gear oil. Recommend replacing rack and pinion and axle seal, pressure wash and retest for leaks.
    • Noise coming from power steering pump when turning, fluid is black and seepage from pump reservoir
    • Changed engine oil and filter. Checked and replenished all fluids. Checked and adjusted tire air pressure.
    • License plate lightbulb is out. traction maintenance light on
    • Scanned all modules for codes and found ABS module C0455 steering wheel position sensor fault C0161 ABS/TCS brake switch circuit fault C0244 PWM delivered torque fault. Monitored all wheel speed sensor data on test drive, all sensor data is good. All codes are history codes. No warning lights on at this time. Per TSB 07-05-25-001 EBCM/VSES needs to be flashed to be able to view steering wheel position sensor data. TSB 05-05-25-008 possible correlation fault with EBCM and steering wheel position sensors. Cleared codes and test drove, no codes returned.
    • Replaced steering rack and pinion
    • Replaced power steering pump
    • Replaced left front axle seal

    • Scanned ECM for codes and found P0121 throttle position sensor 1 performance. Monitored throttle position sensor data with scanner, sensor 1 and sensor 2 is at 20% KOEO both sweep good to 100%. Power and ground at throttle body test good. Throttle body is excessively dirty. Recommend replacing throttle body and preforming relearn procedure.
    • Visually inspected fuel fill hose and EVAP. No signs of external damage. Has new vent valve assembly, none of the hoses on the charcoal canister connected correctly. Preformed vent valve test and it appears to be working properly. Smoked EVAP system no restrictions found at this time. Smoked fuel tank at fill neck and no smoke to canister. Recommend removing fuel tank and inspecting rollover valve and tank assembly.
    • Replaced throttle body and preformed relearn.

    • Compressor clutch does not engage. System is empty. Charged system with nitrogen to check for leaks. Found low pressure tube going to rear a/c leaking due to power steering pressure line rubbing through tube.
    • Replaced front section of auxiliary heat and a/c lines. Charged a/c with 300 psi of nitrogen and checked for leaks-ok. Pressure tested cooling system and checked for leaks-ok. Reassembled all removed components. Filled and bled cooling system.
    • Vacuumed and recharged a/c system. High side pressure at 250 psi, low side at 25 psi. Vent temps at 42 degrees. Test drove-ok.

    • Coolant bottle empty. Topped off fluid, pressure tested-found water pump leaking coolant. Recommend replace water pump, thermostat and water housing gasket, then recheck.
    • Valve cover gasket is leaking oil, timing cover also leaking oil. Noted excessive smoke in crankcase when oil cap was removed, indicating pcv ports and/or intake passages are plugged. Recommend replace valve cover gasket, timing cover gasket, and remove intake and clean pcv passages.
    • Spark plugs show wear and have burnt oil deposits, non OE Bosch plugs. Recommend replace with OE type. Oil is dirty, no lube sticker. Front and rear brakes at 20% remaining, recommend pads and rotors front and rear. Recommend cabin air filter based on age/mileage.
    • All 4 tires are at or near wear bars. Windshield has large crack in it. Wiper blades streaking.
    • Removed water pump cover to inspect balance shaft chain. Balance shaft chain shows wear, and tensioner is almost maxed. Unable to inspect main chain without removing valve cover or timing cover. Based on balance shaft chain wear, recommend replace timing chains, guides and tensioners.
    • Removed intake manifold and cleaned pcv and intake ports.
    • Replaced balance shaft chain, tensioner and guides. Installed new water pump. During repairs, noted exhaust camshaft phaser does not mechanically lock, need to replace phaser. Installed new timing chain set and exhaust phaser. Reassembled all removed components, changed engine oil and filter. Installed new thermostat and filled cooling system. Installed new spark plugs and coil boots, replaced 1 broken ignition coil. Engine starts and runs normally. Test drove-ok. Rechecked for leaks-ok.

    • Fault traced ticking noise to weak/collapsed lifter. Removed cylinder heads and sublet to machine shop for inspection and repair. Installed new lifters and guides. Replaced all necessary gaskets and head bolts. Torqued cylinder heads to specification. Replaced radiator due leak at passenger side tank. Replaced spark plugs, ignition wires, thermostat, exhaust mounting hardware and drive belts. Replaced drivers side valve cover due to updated pcv system. Changed engine oil and filter. Replenished engine coolant and bled air from system. Test drove vehicle.
    • Cleaned and inspected both cylinder heads. Performed 8 cylinder valve job and replaced all valve springs. Resurfaced both cylinder heads. Extracted one broken bolt.
    • BLOWER MOTOR ASSEMBLY – Remove & Replace – [DOES NOT include Air Conditioning System recover, evacuate and/or recharge.]
