Scanned ecu and retrieved trouble code P0420 indicating fault with bank 1 catalytic converter. Component tested and observed vehicle data and found front and rear oxygen sensors mirroring each other. Also noted manifold portion of catalytic converter had two large cracks. Replaced catalytic converter and cleared trouble codes. Test drove vehicle.

All codes could be related to inadequate intake air flow. Replaced air filter, cleared codes, and rechecked. Performed DPF regeneration cycle after filter replacement.

P0406 EGR position sensor circuit high P0308 cylinder #8 misfire Engine not misfiring at this time. Spark plugs have excessive mileage and spark plug gap is over .030 over spec. EGR voltages in spec and test good. Recommend replacing all spark plugs and removing EGR for visual inspection of valve. No further repair done at this time.
Replaced radiator with new unit. Replenished engine coolant and bled air from system. Test drove vehicle

P0457-Evaporative emission system-loose gas cap. Checked gas cap-cap is tight. Removed purge valve and checked for vacuum on tank side of valve-none present. Checked actuating valve multiple times-no vacuum leaks, valve seals properly. Smoke tested system-no leaks found at this time. Replaced leak detection pump and cleared codes. Test drove vehicle.

Positive battery cable was loose. Scanned computer and found no codes in any module. Lifted vehicle and found starter cable and signal wire loose. Started and stopped engine roughly 50 times before, during and after service and no run on or failure to start issues at this time.
